There's one scene I remember from this game. It's in the first dungeon. There are two skeletons there talking about skeletons. They realize how impossible it's for skeletons to exist so they both fall apart after this realization. I don't know why, but I found that extremely funny and had to reload the game few times to see that scene again.

I remember releasing a bunch of scorpion traps with the trap skill nearly maxed and was getting a ton of exp even after an hour had passed as these scorpions were going full terminator extinction of life mode across the entire map.

I believe a remake of DivDiv should be on Larian's table after Baldur's Gate 3 because this is such a fantastic game that was so ambitious for the time and even today it has some great things.

Insanely underrated game, love the frost weapons that make you autowin once you find one

This game has really introduced my to isometric view RPGs. In terms of roleplay and interaction with the world, I found it really revolutionary when I played it in 2004. I just couldn't comprehend how much did it offer to you when you really went out to explore, rather than telling you everything in the journal.

Loved the little quests such as the one in the starting location where you find two graves, one of which having words written on it 'NO FLOWERS, ESPECIALLY FROM MY WIFE'. When you move the flowers from the other grave onto the first one, a grumpy zombie crawls out of the grave to punish you for what you did :D. As a child I just couldn't comprehend the game would react in such a way to what I do in it. And there was so much more.

Divine Divinity was also kind of a personal asylum for me at that time. Moved with my family to a new place, did not know anyone there and found myself being bullied at the new school. Only had a pretty old crappy laptop to play on, because my PC was destroyed in transportation to the new house. DD could luckily run on it and damn.. it helped me so much to get through that difficult time. One of the games that will always have a place in my heart.

Now I'm a 30 year old dude with own family and still continue to find some asylum in Divine Divinity from time to time after a hard day at work. Thanks to Larian for the amazing adventure they have created.

Surprisingly, I have never ever experienced a single bug in this game having played it more than 5 times and on many different computers over the years. Maybe I'm just extremely lucky. Or the 7 gods love me back

I love this game. Not only was it my introduction to CRPG's but I legit love this game. The visuals are timeless, it's a gorgeous game and the story and gameplay atleast for me still hold up. I still play this game from time to time. It's a fantastic rpg.

One little thing I loved about this one is the comical descriptions of your attributes that change depending on the value of the attribute.
Still have the game box at arm's length though I'm not sure if the disc is still inside. 😆

Saved Penumbra, then retrieved her dagger. After some time discovered the brothel and turns out Penumbra works there! Signed up for "Special Treatment" lost quarter of my HP. Best game ever...

In terms of writing and world building this game is still the best thing Larian has done. Also it might have the best soundtrack of all time.

This was my first PC game I bought, and I have never finished it for one reason or another. I've recently started playing it again and so far it's running great on my Surface Book 2. I have always chosen the Female Survivor, as I am female and I just liked the survivor's intro more compared to the others. But I had always liked the ability to choose whichever skills I wanted. This time I plan to finish it though!

I'm a filthy casual who rarely plays these kind of games. However about 5 years ago I bought the gog version for less than a dollar I think and it got me hooked until I finished it. I didn't have to use hex editors and although I don't remember any game breaking bugs, I did use several save slots if something didn't triggered properly. 100% percent recommended 👍

I remember playing this game back in the 2003ish. Never manged to get far into the game as our family computer had problems running it and it crashed very often. I overall really liked it despite those problems. Maybe I need to get the game again.

I still totally love the engine used for this Game.
Wish there would have been made more with it.
Also miss the Ultima like way how you handle your inventory in this one.
Thew only other game that has this is Anvil of Dawn i think.
Somehow this feels heavily immersive to me

I loved this dark and dirty world setting so much. Not a world where you wanted to live. Duke Janus was such an evil character, i don't think there are much more evil characters in games like him. It's also the most buyed game i have. First time i buyed the usual version. Second time i buyed the magazine version and then i buyed the double pack including Beyond Divinity. Then again i downloaded it from a sharing site, because i couldn't get the cd versions to run anymore and then it came out on GOG and of course there i buyed it again. :)

My favourite game of all time. So many awesome secrets like the nasty ass tea that Buadrim made, which ist so rancid that it melted dragon scales AS well as a bunch of unfortunate imps. Some say you can still find some of it in the big cities if you look for it 😉

I bought this game in steam when they finally put it up. They had a funny video/modern trailer that had a mock intervention type thing where the fans were addicted and were begging the devs not to put it on steam because they would relapse. They took it down because obviously its a little distasteful but at the same time it was really silly and light hearted. That video basically said it was skyrim before skyrim and i had played diablo 3 and elder scrolls series before so I bought right in and loved it. I would love to see another open world rpg like this with diablo style combat. I know we have sacred but that feels like a single player mmo where DD feels like a true sandbox due to the item placements, item movements, teleports, container UI etc. there’s nothing like DD and I absolutely love(d) it.
