I don’t feel like I only saw this show, I feel like I felt it, I lived it... when they fell in love, I felt butterflies in my stomach, when the grew apart, I feel like I matured and grew enough to understand it... to me, this was a perfect example for the power of storytelling, in a way I find very rare to feel. It is beautiful, congratulations for everyone involved

I don't want a lot of TV (or movies for that matter), but I'll never, ever get tired of watching this show. It doesn't even feel like acting -- it genuinely feels like being a fly on the wall of two people who are falling in love. I also think it truly shows the complexity of a relationship in the most honest and real light. American TV shows are always loud and dramatic and crazy, but this show is quiet and subtle, made up of all the small moments of life, and that's why it's just so damn good.

Honestly the casting for this show was immaculate 💫 honestly they deserve all the awards out there I’m kind of shocked Paul was up for an Emmy but not daisy 😨 they are both just as good as each other, and this will forever be one of my fave shows of all time, the acting, cinematography, characters, the heartbreak the joy EVERYTHING is down to a tea ☕️.

More books should be transformed into 1 season’d television shows, like this. Movies, I love em. But sometimes shorter episodes capture my attention more powerfully. I don’t know what it is! But THIS story. It needed to be shown like this. And I’m SO grateful 😭

When I say I have never felt so emotionally connected to a set of characters and the story I am no way exaggerating. This show is beyond beautiful and I cried multiple times, fantastic job ❤️❤️

I will never ever ever get tired of this show! I just can’t get enough! And I blame Daisy and Paul! I feel every breath, every feeling, every tear, every heartbreak, every joy. They are just breathtaking! Literally! I forget to breathe when they’re together on screen! Life will never be the same again! 😓❤️

One of the best book adaptations I’ve seen! The dialogue is often exactly the same as in the book and I loved that because the dialogue was very good in the book

I first watched this series in December 2023. As of right now, I have it watched it in full 3 times. I have never had such a connection with a television show before. Everytime I watch the series, it's like I'm watching it for the first time. Everybody that was apart of making this show, I deeply thank you for putting this out there.

This show broke my cold, cynical heart open. Forever grateful for this type of art

All the sex scenes in Normal People are magical and while it’s normal for people to have sex all the time, the depiction of making love here was so intimate and less sensual, making us all believe that shoving yourself to your better half, is actually the way to make your bodies, come together as one. Sex plays an integral role for these two beautiful characters. Because in bed, they are not just Connell and Marianne, they are two people, sharing a deep connection in this chaotic world. And even tho they broke up and had it with other people, no amount of fuckery would equal to the amount of connection they had built. making love to each other feels a lot more different. That’s why we hear them all the time, mumbling, “it’s not like this with other people.” Because it was. And it is. As far as my eyes could see and my mind could comprehend, it is indeed, different when they stay in bed together. Quoting from the book, “For a few seconds they just stood there in stillness, his arms around her, his breath on her ear. Most people go through their whole lives, Marianne thought, without ever really feeling that close with anyone.”

Idk I don’t feel like I watched a show, they made me feel like I was PART of it, almost living their life as a friend. Gosh, I just finished the entire series and I can’t get over it. Such an amazing show!!!

I read the book and watched the show 2 months ago, I can’t stop thinking about it. This is one of these stories that just stick with you, it makes me want to look at life and relationships in a different way.

This show made me realise as a 30 year old woman that I need to be more vulnerable and intimate. Even the sex scenes were so beautiful because it showed how their connection climaxed into this special thing. I have no idea where I was when I was 17 or 22, but I wasn't there with an open heart as these two characters. That is for sure. This show means a lot to me. It showed me what I've been missing all along and I am grateful for that.

This is such a beautiful show. The lack of communication between Marianne and Connell is portrayed realistically. Some parts of the show felt deeply personal to me which was comforting in a way. I still think about the ending quite a lot. "I'll stay. And I'll go. And we'll be okay."

The best book adaptation I’ve ever seen. When I was watching the show I felt like I was seeing the images that play in your head when you read. From the casting, to the environment, to the general feeling and wardrobe and music and dialogue. Everything felt just like the book.
