But but . . . Flaps actually help you takeoff sooner 😭

That's why there is a setting for TO flaps.

Edit: listen people, I'm just going with standard procedure, I'm a pilot and even when we are practicing one engine takeoffs in a multiengine plane, we don't throw down the flaps last second. We put them down and leave them there.

Flaps increase the angle of attack and lets you take-off at slower speeds so long as you don't exceed CLMax. TO flaps should be deployed as soon as possible, the parasite drag is quickly overcome past 30 knots.

Hint: incase you can’t tell if your taking off and tailstrike and and plane doesnt lift off, lose the nose again and try after a few seconds that’ll make the wheels lift off
