Democrat states, shoplifters zero bail, no charges. Store owners or employees that stop shoplifters are fired from their jobs.
In Texas, shoplifters apprehended by store employees until cops show up and their arrested and no such thing as zero bail. Week ago, two armed robbers enter a 711 pistol whip clerk and stole the cash drawer. Leave before cops show up to encounter citizens and they fired shots at them. Citizens return fire, two dead robbers. Citizens get a hero welcome in the press with very little mention of the dead criminals. I'm staying in Texas!

Manhattan, Upper West Side. Shoplifting in NYC is so bad supermarkets are locking up, and installing anti-theft devices on $6 ice cream: ‘This is the age we live in now’.

High rates of retail theft this year have prompted store owners to keep even low-priced items — ranging from dish soap to cans of tuna — in locked cabinets that require customers to ring a bell.

Shopkeepers are screaming as overall shoplifting rates soar citywide — with 13, 738 retail thefts reported in the first quarter of 2023, the most recent available NYPD data.

By contrast, an average of just 8, 750 retail thefts were reported quarterly in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic struck the city, according to the John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

The shoplifting crisis was fueled in part by the state’s controversial 2019 bail reform law, which requires judges to cut loose criminals who commit misdemeanors and some nonviolent felonies, critics say.

Well he didn’t acknowledge me or give me any credit either after I shattered the record with the highest competitive exam score ever in THE HISTORY OF THE #NYPD police department… And I got the highest scores for the US Army… MAYOR ADAMS DIDN’T GIVE ME CREDIT OR HIRE ME… so… tell the mayor I said “Now you know what it feels like hypocrite.” And I get the age waiver from military service during wartime whenever THE WORLD TRADE CENTER WAS DESTROYED I went to go fight for your city as an orphan teenager from Tulsa Boys Home!!! HE DOESN’T DESERVE THE CREDIT LIKE I DO!!! If you don’t hire the BEST person then the people you hire won’t do the best job… That makes your police and politicians look crooked and AFRAID OF INTEGRITY!!!

He is strong though at least. He has been fighting crime actually. Stop and frisk is needed though. Cops have cameras now.

He is slightly better than his predecessor, which isn't saying much. My feelings is that Mayor Adams is going to be hamstrung by his own party.
