I just turn the hole into an extra entrance. I have now 7 doors into my house

Screw a brick tie to it and build an extension is another way of covering those holes. 👍

Put the screw in a couple of threads and use pliers, you should be able to pull the anchor right out.

I've always done that when ya drill a 1in or smaller hole in brick or cinder block etc even the morter between the brick which is usually where phone/cable companies drill into for there installations but if drilling thru any brick type but ya hit something you just can't get through that was behind the Brick/block you can usually pick enough of the brick/block color of the brick below the brick ya drilled through or even off the ground also I always have a bag of secrete & plaster of Paris etc on the truck to quickly repair any possible screw up...and that's when it gets
