All the way down to the $12 book binding kit you got on Amazon, this is by far the most informative video about how to actually create a signature from start to finish. THANK YOU!! I can't tell you how many videos I've watched, showing people folding and cutting pretty papers and fitting them together, but nothing about the actual binding process.

I really appreciate his learning the way of doing your spine with Pat and then he blew it and I never even thought of that. Great thank you.

For those looking for the clips….they are BINDER clips/clamps. Alligator clips are those like clips with teeth on both sides (in the ‘60s called roach clips). Lovely book. Very helpful. Nice spine.

Hi! Thank you for this guide! Making a journal for the first time. Mine is also a 4 cm spine - how many signatures do you recommend? I would like to have four. Is there a correlation between spine width and no of signatures??

Sewing in signatures is my least favorite part of the junk journaling process. All the measuring, the precision that’s needed — I just suck at it and I always screw it up. And it takes me forever. I spent over an hour Friday night trying to work out the measurements of where I needed to put my holes in the spine and in The signatures to get everything to align, then sewing them in. It was such a confusing, time consuming pain in the neck. I just can’t figure out how to do it right.
