Hilary and I are providing these drills to help you develop the proper proprioception and perception you need to run without increasing your risk of injury. These are great warmups to complete before going off on a run so you can get your muscles, joints and nervous system ready to “listen” and “speak” to each other.
Stand in the Springness Position while maintaining proper body alignment, fall forward with the entire body and reach out with one leg to stop yourself.
Return to the starting position and fall forward again, this time fall into a run and continue running for about 10 yards.
This will help you with developing your awareness of your fall angle while running.
