Blender 2.91 Hardsurface Sculpting Cracks

preview_player
Показать описание
In this video I show the sculpting of cracks to a hardsurface mesh using Blender 2.91. I use stndard brushes like the scrape, draw sharp, pinch, grab and the Clay strips brush for sculpting and I also remesh a duplicate of the low poly mesh by using the voxel remesher.

I start sculpting with the mouse and the scrape brush for stylized edges, then I switch to my tablet, I am using an XP Pen tablet (Deco Pro).

For anyone wonder. At 2:20, when talking about remeshing. He says "Shift + R" to show the remesh grid. In Blender 3.0+ its now just R without the shift.

I did not know about Shift R to see the voxel size! That is so helpful!

I've been for Blender tutorials on how to model and sculpt terrain to 3D print for tabletop gaming and have had very little luck. This single video gives so much information and I'm really glad I came across this channel.

I was not expecting the pinch and grab brushes. I had not seen those used in other tutorials. Very nice. This makes me really re-think how other brushes could be used creatively.

Sculpting stone, so satisfying to look at the process! Thank you much for the 1 hour of exercise daily instead of 10 hours one day every 2 weeks, it absolutely doesn't work out that way.

Honestly genius making this pt 1 of 2. Instantly subbed so I don't miss the second part. Looking forward to exploring your back catalog!

I didn't know you could remesh without fix poles this will be so useful for high sculpts

I'm glad I watched the whole video, but what I was really looking for was the grab brush at the end. Thanks!

Amazing! Blender is possible to sculpt the mesh in itself without any other program! Nice tutorial, I'll use Blender

You could box it out fully and then bake curvature in painter and texture these details into the height chanel using a generator, more creative freedom and fully procedural. When done show off the height details using the displacement map, still procedural but high-poly. Finally use apply the displacement and select places that are unecessarily dense and use the unsubdivide edges method to optimize the mesh

Thank you so much! I didn't know about the remesh option, it's so much easier to use :)

Remex was exactly what I was looking for! I was struggling trying to subdivide my rectangular/uneven meshes for sculpting 😭

Thats super cool, Im quite the beginner but I feel like this would be awesome with the material painter to easily sculpt and texture new meshes :D
