Lexington and Concord Bridge re-enactments from a Battalion soldiers perspective!

Recently resurfaced footage meant we could put a video out on this event. The SD cards from the other perspectives and battles are currently missing!

His Majesty's Tenth Regiment of Foot in America is a historically re-created infantry unit formed to portray the service of the British Army during the American War for Independence.

Composed of three types of soldier, Grenadiers-typically larger men who are used as shock troops, a company of Light infantry, generally smaller, more agile men--capable of maneuvering in the dense wilderness to skirmish or flank the enemy, and a battalion company--a company of regular soldiers, capable of mass volleys and were the heart of the army and are trained in both Grenadier and Light Infantry tactics. We also have a company of Music, who provide music and commands to the army. Last but certainly not least, a Corps of Civilian Volunteers--who provide food to the regiment during encampments and accurately portray civilian and camp life of the 18th century. Each is open for recruitment. The members of the Tenth are accurately uniformed, equipped, and trained in 18th-century military drill and life so that we appear in public as members of the British Army would have in 1775. Props to the guys who "die" in these reenactments. Especially at the beginning. It's not easy spending that much time, money, and effort on a historically accurate kit just to lay in a field for 30 mins.

Great reenactment. In all seriousness, in any wartime scenario, hearing the opposing commander yell “FIX BAYONETS!” Would likely send chills down your spine

"Sir, what are those weird long strings attached to poles?"
"Those haven't been invented yet, you'll remember when the re-enactment is over."

This was my first time ever watching a reenactment. Came all the way from the South Shore to watch in person at like 3am. It was such a short event, but boy was it a sight! Thank you to you and all the other reenactors who did spectacular this year!

Camera quality in 1775 was AMAZING!

But seriously, this was SO EPIC! I loved watching it.

It still surprises me that most wars back then were literally fought with two sides just standing across from each other in plain open sight.

As a civil war reenactor, i can appreciate reenactors taking hits and making it more historically accurate and interesting for the audience. I used to get annoyed when we'd have volleys for 5-10 minutes and nobody would be falling to the ground. The crowds would also lose interest and walk away. It looks stupid when no one takes hits

I’ve been watching a lot of reenactment videos as of late and I just want to say how it always feels so surreal seeing these men in 18th century uniform march through a 21st century world.

How hard is it to carry a musket with all your gear in a wool uniform in the middle of summer? Also how hard is it in general to be in a reenactment group like this?

The way you just heard a shot ring out before a full volley erupts and not knowing where it came from was very well done

The real battles must have been so brutal

As a Brit, I’d love to take part in these re-enactments to add abit of authenticity

Props to you chaps, absolutely extraordinary turnout. I am a table top Napoleonic wargamer myself of 45+ years, not a re-enactor but the attention to detail in your uniforms, your deportment and thorough dedication to your craft is wonderful. Thank you for sharing Sir, consider me subscribed.

2:15 I have problems with the “you will not get my gun” exchange, but I will say, I really like Dylan’s delivery of “By God, sir, I will have them all!”

He sounds legitimately angry!

Imagine how different the world would be today if they would have just had a big breakdance off.

Bro, this actual battle was crazy. I wish they had GoPros back then.

Wow just look how beautifully they paved their roads back then!

Excellent video. Very fascinating. I think a lot of history should be taught this way. Take a GoPro footage of a reenactment while narrating the historical events going on in the context. Very well done

Probably the most realistic combat reenactment I've seen. Total chaos, just like the real thing.
