How to build a powerful electromagnet ( revisited!!!!) |crazy results!|

**the transformer used in this video is not a true three phase transformer. It is a single phase with one primary and 3 secondary windings**

Find out How to build an extremely powerful electromagnet that can lift well over 200 lbs

I revisited my old video because the magnet and power supply did not work as well as I had wished. Also There were a lot of comments providing helpful tips.

In this video you will find the parts needed and a general description on how to construct your own magnet. If you still need help or have any questions on the power supply, feel free to ask in the comment and I would be gad to answer.

These microwave electromagnets are several hundred times more powerful that you refrigerator magnets or those mini magnets you built in elementary school so please be very careful!

Disclaimer: I am not responsible if you harm yourself In anyway trying to replicate it. These electromagnets are Very powerful.

Most of my projects are relatively safe to do at home given the correct precautions and safety measures.

Exercising engineering and exercising at the same time... great efficiency :)

Well done sir!
Chiming in with others on the request for more info on your power supply set up.
I'm hoping to build a magnetic vise for my workshop(let's be honest...garage)

Wow!! That is a lot of weight!! Need to start lifting, LoL!! Awesome results man;)

You only have two 45's, do you even lift bro?! Lol just kidding, great video!

You are more stronger than the electro magnet as he lifted so easily 200 lbs of weight .

HOW STRONG ARE YOU!!! IM SMASHING THE LIKE AND THE SUBCRIBE, JUST LIKE U SMASHED THOSE WEIGHTS AND THIS VIDEO...GOOD JOB!

4 questions/requests: 1. General wiring diagram for the power supply? (where did you get the 6 volts?) 2. Values/etc. of the capacitor bank? 3. What power supply taps did you use for the magnet? 4. Other videos on YouTube use the secondary coil for the magnet. Why did you choose the primary? ....Great build, by the way!

Great 👍🏼 video!!!
How did you attach the metal bar to the transformer?
Also if you use the secondary winding, would you get a stronger electromagnetism?

I would like to see you getting an iron spring like an shock absorber attach a metal plate to the top. And see if you can make it contract by making the magnet dragging the plate down. I was wondering if that potential could make a cool ejector. I'm fiddling with an theoretical experiment and have no practical skills . :)

I'd like to see a video of the making step for step your.entire power supply, from plug to the fuses and what u where saying about the secondary coil on it (I believe what u said ) in more shown steps please sir.
Well done awesome

Hi there just like to know what rating of capacitor did you use in the build Like to build one of my own

Hmmm sir I'm planning on a mobile version of that where it all could fit in a backpack what batteries would you suggest and how much is enough?

Greetings
Please do you have any idea about how far can electromagnet attract the loads? Is the some carrolation between the electromagnet capacity and the attraction force at specific destance

How many volt dc that supplied to coil?

Hello thank you for the video. I built an electromagnet with a microwave transformer after watching. Thanks for showing. I was hoping to ask you a some questions. I am trying to use the magnet for prolonged use 5 minutes or longer on. I used an 18 volt rechargeable battery in my build. I need it portable. I had plenty of power. However the coil in the transformer got extremely hot and I lose power quickly.

1. how can I control the heat?
2. how can I get more out of my batteries?
3. what is the capacitor bank for?

thanks in advance

How volts were running to the magnet during your test. Thanks in advance
