WATCH: 'Problematic is an understatement,' Mueller says of Trump's WikiLeaks remarks

In a hearing of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Mike Quigley, D-Ill., brought up four examples of times that President Donald Trump stated support for WikiLeaks. “WikiLeaks, I love WikiLeaks,” Trump was quoted from December 2016. Another instance from November 2016 read, “Getting off the plane, they were just announcing new WikiLeaks, and I wanted to stay there, but I didn’t want to keep you waiting… boy, I love reading those WikiLeaks.” In response to seeing Trump's quotes, special counsel Robert Mueller said, “'Problematic' is an understatement in terms of what it displays.” In contrast, Quigley had also cited remarks by Mike Pompeo, who as the former CIA director called WikiLeaks a “hostile intelligence service,” an assessment Mueller agreed with.
