Out of the Vault: Episode 120

Due to unforseen events Moana 2 will have to wait. However, the show must go on! Last time we talked about the Best Animated Feature of 2023 in America. Today, we look at the Best Animated Feature of 2012! Also, a movie that was reviewed on this channel once before.

It has been 12 since, let's take another look at Pixar's Brave!

First of all, sorry about you, and your family getting the stomach flu, and that you had to miss seeing Moana 2 because of that!

Second of all, I’m glad that you decided to see this film in its place. I also thought it was weird that Brave won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature instead of say Wreck-It-Ralph, especially considering that it had more creativity than Brave, despite maybe Zootopia doing it better a few years later. Still, I did like the score by Patrick Doyle, and the songs that were in the film, the relationship with Merida, and her mom, the comedy, and certain emotional moments near the end. I would probably say 3, if not 3.5 out of 4 stars as well.

Anyway, thanks for reviewing Brave for your final episode this year. And I look forward to whatever your special episode will be about in late January.
