7 minutes of video before you start to solve the problem. When I see your videos pop into my feed, I have begun to start them in the middle to see if any progress is being made. I move up 1 mi Ute at a time until I see math being done. Then I start watching.

I learned trig ratios in the navy 50 years ago with this mnemonic, and I find it impossible to forget them:
Sally Can Tell Oscar Has A Hard On Always.
S=O/H
C=A/H
T=O/A
A G-rated version replaces Hard with Hat.

This video reminded me of a Physics 1 project we did using the cardboard from a paper towel roll, a protractor, and some string. Thank you for the vid.

It would be helpful if you could make a video on Angle of depression too.

Basic Trigonometry; (Tan= Sin/ cos), y=height; x=500 ft, tan 20 = y/500 ft; y=500ft * tan 20=181.98 ft=height

thank you very much. but how can we find the angle in real life

My old mate Pythagoras for me! 500/4=125 so each unit of side is 125. So for the height 125x3=375 and the other side will be 5x125=625. Then you don't have to bother with the angle. so you have 375 squared = 140625....500 squared =250000 add these and you get 390625 square root of this is 625

Tangens 20° = x/ 500, we need math tables with tangens of known (angles other than 0, 30, 45, 60 and 90°) and we have the answer. X = how tall?

We had those tables in the back of the book. Trig for us was just a brief part of Algebra 2 . We NEVER were told to take notes.

How do you calculate the 20 degree angle?

Too much off topic talking. Get to the point.

6 minutes before you actually got into the lesson. Really?

500*tan(20) = 181.985 ft approx

Trivial... it does not take 12 minutes to explain!

Someone solve this problem? 2 points one half inch apart in a straight line along the surface of a 2 in circle. What is the distance between the two points along the circumference and how to determine that.

5:20 is when the video really starts.

This is how they determine the height of the sun and moon

Walk towards the building until the angle 45degrees distance from the building is the same as the height…
