I got a 35gb imei SIM card good for 30 days for about $7 at a Grapari telecon store. Airport stores are overpriced. If you’re staying less than 90 days you don’t have to register the SIM card with customs/immigration, the store you buy it from just needs to see your passport. If more than 90 days then you must register and pay a tax. The Covid App wasnt working for me and presenting my vaxx card was enough at the airport. After that some malls/stores want you to scan the app to get a QR code but in 4-5 times I’ve needed to have the App my paper vaxx card was enough. And other times I just walked in while the locals were busy trying to scan their App and no one stopped me, but that just may depend on the location. I’ve been here two weeks all around eastern, central, northern and southern Jakarta.

Thanks for the video. We are struggling to find information on how to get a visa before hand, but it's reassuring to hear that it's easy to get one on arrival!

Smartfren use a hybrid CDMA - GSM network(meanwhile other phone providers here all use pure GSM network). it's not really for common GSM phone. you're lucky it works on your phone.

Hey Aaron, thanks for the info. You didn't mention Indonesian recognized Covid-19 insurance so I'm guessing that wasn't necessary?

Excellent video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
