If it doesn't work for you, then go to your graphics card driver, whether it's Nvidia (Nvidia control panel) or AMD (Radeon/ AMD Catalyst™ Control Center) and find the same settings and set it to the high performance.

Any other alternatives? Did not work. Especially happening for me on Win10 with Starcraft Brood War, works very extremely slow frame rates on High Performance but if I go back to standard I get the 1114 error. This didn't fix it. I read that to fix the frame rate problem I have to take it off high performance with the current version of Brood War

To solve this please try the following:

Try updating the video card drivers.

The video card may have "Switchable Dynamic Graphics" set to less than maximum performance. If applicable, try to change the setting.

For an ATI/AMD graphics card, you can set both options within

Catalyst Center > PowerPlay
to "Maximize Performance".

If your AMD graphics card doesn't have a power play option you can change the setting by:
Open the control center by right clicking on your Desktop and selecting either AMD Control Center or Configure Switchable Graphics.
From there click Browse, add Maple 2019 to the Application List, then choose High Performance.

To test if the problem is related to "Switchable Dynamic Graphics", if the machine has dual monitors with one connected to the on-board card and the other to an external card, you can move an open Maple worksheet displaying a 3D plot from one monitor to the other.

On Windows, the power settings could be in conflict with Java hardware acceleration, and may need adjustment. Ensure that in

Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options
the "Plan" is set to "High performance". Further, open

Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings
and expand the option for your graphics card (e.g. "Intel(R) Graphics Settings"). For any options, make sure they are set to "Maximum Performance".

Cant find the switchable graphics in the control pannel but i tried in the pannel control nvidia and set to max perforamce but still the same error
