The Verge makes its return with HK22 in the Verge Hybrid! This is an OG looking DV8 ball with the neon colors and original Threshold symmetrical core. This one should be fun to throw from multiple parts of the lane!

With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:

Launch Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Entry Speed - Speed measured at the pins. (What you'd see on your home center MPH screens)
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based on the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

It’s so cool that you state what adjustment you plan to make, and then see you execute it, along with the result. One would hope that bowlers would learn from this.

As a very rev dominant player, this ball hooked a lot more than I thought it would, it was frustrating to learn where I could fit it in my bag. I moved all the way left, threw it at max speed, and it strikes every time now. I love this ball.

I haven’t heard the word hella in 15 years since I left Monterey. Thank you for that memory😂

Yep, you helped convince me to put my order in this week for this ball. It should fit nice between my Brutal Collision and Damn good verge pearl. The Damn good verge pearl gave me my first 300 last league season. I match up well with symmetrical cores and look forward to this one with HK22.

4:41 wow that ball took off. Dig all the info you give Nick, I am thinking of a med oil ball, and I’m down too the Bigfoot Hybrid HK22 or the new Verge HK22. Appreciate your input. Thanks Nick

NICK!!! You KNOW…the ONLY cookies an 8 pin would sell are ALL after the expiration date?!?!?!?! And probably not even the classics…just the new skinny-thin-a-lots!!!! But seriously…the first ball you threw with that…I could play there all night long!

I have this one on order. It’s replacing my Bigfoot Pearl.

This Verge vs the Emerge. When the backs start hooking a lot do you think this would be a good compliment to the Emerge?

This ball's colors remind me of the DV8 Vandal Destroy.

This ball, at the 14lb weight, gives me consistent 200+ games.

my infinite physix is a beast on the fresh playing tighter angles but after games 2 or 3 it starts burning up. would this be a good ball to get inside and hook the lane with because my infinite does not take big angles well

New to the channel. Love the videos. I’m in need of a game 1 oil ball. I’m thinking of the mindset for sure. Then trying to figure out a ball for a step down from that? This could possibly work. What do you think? I throw around 16mph. I have low oil stuff. Any ball you recommend below the mindset? Thanks nick.

What’s the difference between the 4.5” and 5” pins you throw?
