It’s insane how much hate Tatum and the Celtics get….no matter what is done! Tatum is a superstar but gets treated like dog shiet by most NBA fans outside of Celtics fans. Even when he wins a chip with Boston, they’ll still hate.

I’ve never understood the love Booker gets when he flames in the playoffs worse than Tatum.

Kendrick and Steven A consistently have some of the worst takes in all of NBA punditry. Really unfortunate they have such big microphones. They don't deserve it!

What I don’t understand is, about a month ago the same guys in Stephen Smith and Kendrick Perkins were talking about Jayson Tatum as the face of the league. Make it make sense.

Jayson Tatum is the most hated player in the league for absolute 0 reason. Giddey and Bridges don’t even get as much hate as Tatum and he isn’t sleeping with kids or hitting people, he just a good dad who’s also good at basketball

Same argument Kendrick Perkins:

How is LeBron the GOAT? Don’t you have to be clutch?? 😂😂😂

Or did he mean, “Don’t you have to be KLUTCH?”

The guy dropped 50 points in a game 7 vs Philly last season and also went on the road to drop 44 against the bucks in a game 6 to force a game 7….he’s had his fair share of big time moments

Tatum absolutely has some big time playoff games and moments but he also has some really really bad meltdowns also to be fair

You are so right about the ESPN ignorant slimeballs who constantly play favorites for pay and never giving credit where credits sacrifice of Tatum to give other players a chance to upgrade their stats is something i was not aware of till you pointed it commendable on your part and Tatum's👍

It really annoys me that players like Anthony Edwards, SGA, and even Jalen Brunson are starting to be called better than Tatum when they do not have anything close to the sample size of success that he has and they all just arrived on the scene as primary options. Ridiculous. I like those guys too, but until they do anything close to what Tatum–who is now a CHAMPION–has done, I don't wanna hear that. Tatum has been a winner since his rookie year. Yes, he has benefitted from playing on good rosters and with other talented players, but he's still the engine of that team.

Thank you for doing this video.. the Tatum hate is really unwarranted and for no real good reason

Tatum is a future hall of famer and the best player on a team with a championship on its horizon while Perkins never got the recognition the Boston Big 3 had when they became champs. He is neither a hall of famer nor had his jersey retired by the organization. Perkin's constant detraction of Tatum smells of insecurity and pettiness.

I think that Tatum's struggles with the media mostly stem from two things.

One: he's a very quiet player. There have been times where I've thought, "man, Tatum hasn't really done that much this game, " looked at the box score, and seen he had 40. He dominates, but he does it really quietly, so it's hard to think of iconic Tatum moments, y'know?

Second, he plays for the Boston Celtics, a franchise that's so storied that if you aren't widely considered one of the most talented individuals to ever pick up a basketball, you're a footnote. So it's hard to think of Tatum as great when he's standing in the shadow of Bill Russell and Larry Bird.

At the end of the day, the media doesn't change how good he is. Appreciate his talent while we have the opportunity to watch it.
