I practically grew up watching ESPN.. now I never watch it. Especially the morning shows.. they're all trash. Idk if its all because of Disney or jst the world changing and social media. But ESPN is a circus and I don't find it entertaining..

As much as I like Wilbon but he doesn't move the needle. Stephan A is the perfect candidate for todays climate. A clown show is a great way to describe it. Credential wise obviously SAS cant hold a candle to Wilbon

As SAS said: "Everyday I wake up with these two thoughts;
1. How to make my bosses more money
2. How to get some of it."

Not surprised by his clownish behaviour

PTI and Around the Horn were two of the most enjoyable shows on ESPN because the reporters had so much fun together ribbing each other and they liked each other for well placed jabs.

SAS is just like today politicians. Loud and willing to say whatever it takes.

Wilbon knows better. If he wanted Stephen A's role at ESPN all he had to do was sell his soul to the devil for money and fame and be willing to put on the clown nose and shoes and say yes master to the powers that be at ESPN. Wilbon has too much respect for himself to do that.

Wilbon and Kornheiser are the real deal journalist. Who are fantastic writers. I remember reading their articles in the Washington Post as a teenager back in the day

Dick Schaap hosted a professional show, it even made sports reporters look intelligent.

Stephen A was always hard to take. Wilbons takes went down smooth like a good glass of wine or good beer.

ESPN should have been called out on front street a long time ago

Perkins should also be ashamed of himself for making a case for racism.

The problem is the people that journalists are super supposed to be accountable to are super biased, both sides

ESPN is simply a reflection of society who loves everything morally low/indecent…society no longer has a desire to even fake the fake decorum of yesteryear

I miss watching The Sports Reporters. True journalists with good discussions. None of these new cats could hold a candle to any of the goats back then.
