Epidemiological Models and Policymaking for COVID-19

INFORMS Richmond/Tidewater Chapter hosted Preetam Ghosh, Professor of Computer Science at VCU who spoke on state-of-the-art epidmiological models to quantify COVID-19 spread dynamics, including both top-down and bottom-up regresssion-based approaches. Also demonstrated the effects of such models on different types of policymaking problems at multiple scales during a pandemic.
