I would love if he is a secret character that you only unlock fulfilling specific tasks, just like old games that featured secret hard characters unlockable.

I recall playing bleach the blade of fate on DS as a kid and unlocking White Ichigo as a secret character after finishing every character story modes

I'm surprised people don't think he'll be in the initial roster or don't want him in at all...he's been playable in a good number of games.

The first trailer comes out White Ichigo will be playable including the story mode

I'd be down for him to be a skin for completing story mode, but him being playable is cool too.

That's Ichigo's inner world, so that could just be a story thing, where he's a boss character.

It would be shocking if he was not in the roster. He's basically a cooler Ichigo, fighting wise.

If we do get white shikai playable we should he able to bet he'll get his vasto lorde for 2 reasons

1 because shikai ichigo can go half mask in this game

2 bankai ichigo has full hollow mask form and vasto lorde

Maybe even merged with young tensa zangetsu just because aizen has multiple transformations as well

He's going to be playable. I have no idea why some of y'all think he wont be. He was playable throughout the Heat The Soul games, and he'll be playable here.

He probably needed more time before they reveal him, if you notice in his shot his zanpakuto is lacking physics on the chains. Leads me to believe he has been unfinished. His moveset in games and the anime has always been drastically different from Ichigo anyway, so he definitely wouldn't be a skin.

He just seems like one of those cool character that you put as DLC.

I really don't understand why White Ichigo isn't just a skin, it's literally just Ichigo but white. I get the whole Hollow voice effect and White having a whole different personality lore-wise, but it'll just be another Ichigo with different colors and maybe different voicelines. really not worth a slot imo.

Because he doesn't need to be playable in Story Mode and the game will probably have Dangai Ichigo as well, so 4 Ichigo's in the base game really seems like more than is needed. There's probably around 10 more characters left to be revealed. It would be disappointing IMO if two of them are more Ichigo's.

Skin or DLC is kinda up in the air. Shikai Ichigo's SP2 where he spins around Zangetsu is already more akin to something White would do, which would lead credence to him being a skin, but he is also popular enough that he would definitely sell well as DLC.

It could go both ways. But if he is a skin, it is probably a special kind with it's own Kikon animations and stuff.

I think white will be playable, he will be in shikai then awakening bankai and finally reawakening vasto lorde

I would vastly prefer more of a tag unit with White Ichigo and Old Man Zangetsu, with their base as Shikai, awakening into their Bankai, and reawakening into Fused Zangetsu.

They're making this game very lore accurate so i doubt he's playable probably he's just a story boss cause if they wanna be lore accurate then well... He can't fight with anyone besides ichigo

i can see white as a skin for ichigo, but i don't think he is distinct enough to be a playable character
