My parents bought a Sony TV in the early 80s. It was a Trinitron. When I graduated university and left home in 2007 my mom still had that Sony TV and it still worked just fine.

I just bought a Bravia 9 with Bravia Quad that will be delivered tomorrow. Your tutorial is the best I have seen so far. Thanks!

I splurged yesterday and ordered the 85-inch Bravia 9. Total overkill, but this is such a nice set that I know I will have it for years and be extremely satisfied. If you take care of your set, Sony TVs can last decades. Their build quality is so good that it doesn't feel cheap at all; it feels premium.

What do you think about the Sony Bravia 9? Is it worth the hype and money?

Hello Steve, this seems to be the TV of TVS this year. Most of the TV reviewers feel this way.😊

Thanks for showing all the modes - Sony’s standard is the best but it’s not using warm1 or warm2 as its color temp, is it? It’s a shame because Standard warm with a little color applied takes Sony TV to a completely different level. I play tennis and the trees at our court look very green when the sky is blue but when it’s overcast, they look dark green and lose their sheen.

Just like the sky, the color temp and color settings determine the color of everything you’ll see and once you see the beautiful warm colors with brightness and full pop without any washing out of unnaturalness, you can’t go back.

I’d advise everyone to experiment with warm on standard and add color and slight brightness with the ambient light sensor on. If you switch to cinema from that, Cinema will make you feel sick in comparison because the people look like they are all zombies from the Last of Us.

HI Steve- Great great review. If you connect an optical cable from the TV to an integrated amplifier to use external speakers- Would you also be able to use the TV speakers as a center channel speaker along with the external stereo speakers?

I remember over a decade ago wanting a Bravia tv simply because of the color depth it showed on display in stores and how three dimensional it looked to me imho. I finally make enough money to have boughten the 85"x90l Sony and I swear it's better most times than my friends smaller OLED TV's. Sony is best for streaming and upscaling content as far as I'm concerned and my games are looking amazing too. It's all hooked up to a hta 5000 soundbar with sub and rears and I got it all for under 3500 which is the same or under most smaller OLED TV alone 🤷 5:00

Thanks Steve. This is a winderful vid - love the props, creativity, presentation and Sony attire - Flawless!! I can see the result of the new studio environment. This is an amazing TV and I do hope the price comes down well for BF....Cyber Monday. I will rally some my friends to assit with the 200k goal. I am also expecting great things from you come CES 2024.

The internal speakers do have a setting for different modes different sounds equalizers, etc. it’s kind of hidden but it’s under speaker set up after you set it for internal speakers. I don’t use internal speakers so I forgot how to get there, but it does a lot of adjustments of sound for you.

Can you get the Netflix and Amazon prime settings/calibration using a firestick or does one have to use the onboard Sony applications of Netflix and amazon prime?

It would be good to compare it against last year’s model – X95L
As some people said there are issues with credits of movies and TV shows. Viewers always want to see the difference between the last year’s model and the current model and if there money is worth it.

Is this the 65 inch model? Wow! 3K price is a hard pill to swallow

i think its the best tv atm, coz of how it does with films & hdr with brightness & depth & range of colour, if u wanna watch films in hdr, this is the tv to buy regardless of price, this topic probably needs its own video steve, thanks
