Living in Regional Russia isn't too bad when you have a supermarket like this. Where you live how are the supermarkets right now. Let me know in a comment

Anyone married to a Russian woman pretty much knows the cleaning section is one of their favorite go to sections. My Russian wife is a neat and cleaning person, or else lol. After 30 years of marriage, she's about scrubbed the wood floors down to need replacing. But, I wouldn't trade her for any other woman in the world.

Магазин пятерочка 5 это магазин около дома. Он рассчитан на то, что надо купить что-то срочно и не надо ехать далеко в большой гипермаркет. Эти магазины в моем городе очень распространены .

Loved this video. I like everyday life things. It’s better stocked than my local supermarket Morrisons at home. It’s always ransacked but that seems reasonable and pleasant enough. I don’t buy the media telling us Russia is struggling with products as you’ve shown most of its produced in country. Who is really bothered about cola or an own branded cola. Pretty much the same other than slight taste. But if your drinking it with booze after a few you’ll never know!

Hi Russell, greetings from Sydney Australia. I loved your video, I think showing a well known supermarket in a regional area and how it's like inside is quite relevant. I plan to go to Russia this year to live and teach English in Volgograd. I do plan to visit Moscow and it's surrounding areas when I get the chance. 😊

Uzunovo, population 3.5k+. Just for people wondering how stores look in even smaller towns - 5ka in Chismena (population about 500) is pretty much the same.

I am not surprised that shops are still fully stocked. And I am pretty sure that it will stay like this. It is not it will get like things aren't for sale anymore. It is more like will people still be able to buy all the things that they need. And this is not just in russia going on but worldwide.

14:50 Shе said "Большие цены"? Which means "Is it expensive?" Literally "High prices?" Not "bestseller"😀

To be honest, food and fuel are the two things I sincerely doubt Russia will run out of. With food, what may change is choice with fewer foreign options and more Russian substitutes in time. And you have that huge dacha community reducing pressure on food supplies. As well, Russia is kinda awash in oil and gas, eh. It is difficult to compare Russian prices for the same things as in other countries, i.e., you pay $1 US for basic eggs, I pay $3.75 US here in Canada (and the price hasn't increased). And you yourself have pointed out in other videos how brands are being taken over by Chinese investors selling the same thing. In that, plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. However, really really interesting to have some insight into Russian life, I've become slightly addicted to these glimpses.

I can't see any difference with Paris suburbs.I think you have MORE choice than us ! Abandoned Lidl due to supply and price increase issues. Where is the cooking oil=X3 generally in France ? V hard to get and usually sunflower.
