Any recommendations for a way to do layered fillets faster? I started structural welding with stick a month ago and most of the welders (who aren’t certified) are telling me to do the root and then lay one bead below the root, one in the middle of the root and then on top, creating a bigger size weld. But I don’t like doing it this way since.. it just goes against everything that welding has taught me.

Our minimum A size is 4mm (5/32) and maximum is 7mm (9/32)

Same speed all the way through? The metal is a lil toasty after a couple runs I always thought. Mine don’t look nearly as good as this though 🤣😂
