I'm a delivery driver for dominos. It gets really lonely because I work the closing shift. I normally don't get out till 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning. By then my friends are all sleep and I have no one to talk or text to when I get out of work. But when I put this music on when I'm driving back home, it feels like I am the only person in my city still up. The street are empty, no cars, no people, no life. The city sleeps silently through the night while I can enjoy the streets to myself. The dim orange street lights flyover head and fade silently with each passing. Stop light turns red and I come to a hult. Looking to my left and to my right. There is no sign of anyone. The light turns green and I can move on. I'm home. Car is off but the radio is still on. I don't wanna get out of the car just yet. I lean the seat back and open the sunroof to see the night sky over head. Light clouds cover the starry sky. Moments pass and the clouds open up to show the dark blue abyss. The stars twinkle and I close my eyes. Listening to this music can make such a simple ride home feel like something more.

Edit 1: Wow, guys! Just I am in awe, about all the likes and the replies I have gotten from just this one paragraph. I wanna say THANK YOU! I honestly cannot believe how much this has inspired so many! I'm just a regular person like everyone else. I don't see myself as a writer or a poet. I just wanted to describe how I was feeling that night. It's amazing how music can connect us all. I know life can be complicated at times and we all go our own path but that's just it. That's what makes us so similar. We're all living! We've all had our hardships and/or going through them right now but it'll pass. Just keep working on yourself and see it through! I believe in you people, just like how you believed in me!
