InPresence 0246: The Universal Chakra System

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is also the Grand Prize winner of the 2021 Bigelow Institute essay competition regarding the best evidence for survival of human consciousness after permanent bodily death.

Here he speculates about the relationship between the esoteric system of the chakras and the relationship the individual has with mind-at-large, or one might think of the cosmic person.

Good correlation, thank you. With raising our chakras through Kundalini yoga or meditation we can resonate at the same level (possibly) as the universal chakras.

Using a different way to frame a similar idea: this is somewhat like what a few of my polytheist friends and I discussed several years back about "the Human totem animal, " i.e. the totem animal representing the totality of the existence of human organisms. It's easy to understand why people who have an experience of this being think of it as a "unitive" and all-encompassing experience, because it is the repository of all human experience; and yet, it's not "everything, " just "everything" that humans have ever thought, experienced, perceived, conceived, considered, or experienced...and thus while manifestly A LOT, it's still not quite "everything." But, that's another conversation! ;)
