Welcome to the 11th edition of the RUST MEETUP LINZ. This time, we meet a little later than usual as we are joined by two speakers from New Zealand! Join us and meet Jonathan Turner and Tim McNamara.
JT has a long history in programming languages, having helped create the TypeScript language, been a part of the Mozilla Rust team, and now co-creating a new shell/language hybrid called Nushell. They will show us the most recent developments in Nushell and tell us how they leveraged Rust's strengths to build a modern way for working with your system, data, and more.
Tim McNamara is an experienced programmer with a deep interest in natural language processing, text mining, and wider forms of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Tim is also the author of "Rust in Action", published by Manning and soon to be released in print! He is very active in open source communities including the New Zealand Open Source Society.
