To this day, Luke still puts methylene blue in his water, hoping that he will one day get a blue goldfish.

This blue stuff is basically a fish cure all elixir. If your fish has an undiagnosed problem and is in a hospital tank, there is a good chance that this can help your fish get better. With exception to internal parasites/Protozoa and internal bacterial infections, there are few things that MB will not at least help with. I love this stuff. The biggest thing to be aware of is that this WILL WRECK YOUR BIOLOGICAL FILTRATION. Use this in a main tank and you can kiss your fish goodbye, use it in a hospital tank and you could save your little friend. As always, not veterinary advice don’t listen to anything I say I’m not a professional… ect.

I worked at a fish farm for 12 years and we always used methylene blue powder in our water to pack fish out. Definitely helps a ton! This man knows his stuff!

I don't know much about shipping but aquarium salt might help a lot in this case. It increases aeration, decreases danger of nitrite and decreases risk of infection

To be honest, if the MB ingredient is excessive, it is very dangerous for your fish because MB contains active substances, as I experienced

Luke schooling us on how to run a fish business 😄 the crazy thing is the sellers who don't even add any additives that help the fish and just roll the dice.
I used to buy fish from a place that had a Saturday morning bargain, where they opened their shipment and you could buy the fish right out of the box, the store never even had to open the bag and acclimate the fish. It is sort of a win win situation because it's less work for them and the fish don't have to suffer as many adjustments. It was crazy.

The water used for shipping... withOUT the fish in the water, put it under a very strong vacuum to degas the water, have yourself an hho generator and take the oxygen and bubble it through the water while under the vacuum till the pressure returned to normal , maybe give it a vigorous shake, and use that water to put the fish in for shipping, and collapse the bag and inflate it back up with the oxygen from the hho generator, seal up and ship
