This had a grown man playing in the back yard feel more than a survival challenge haha....love the authenticity here, fire starters don't always work, people do silly things like burning holes in their shelter, far too many Youtubers edit out problems making things look perfect when they NEVER are. A quick couple notes on the bivy, never lay on the ground, it will defeat the purpose and rob you of heat, always use a closed cell pad or good R-value pad. Also only wear one layer of clothing, it can't radiate and double your heat if 5 layers are keeping it on your skin.

I don't have a channel so I will just say it here. I bought $135 worth from TEMU. I spent over an hour and a half carefully going thru their crap and weeding out the total crap bought what I felt even they could not F up. I was very surprised when the package arrived. Out of 23 items, only 1 was complete garbage and went straight in the waste bin, one was questionable and the others are completely usable and fine. If you take you time and don't go for the gimmicky trash you can find some gems there.

One of my top 5 favorite channels. Love 98% of what you do. Not a fan of Temu or the junk that's on it, but I understand wanting to get paid and chasing the trend/fads for YouTubers.

Do a survival camping video but without knowing what items you have. Have your wife buy items she thinks you need and you have to make them work.

Great video. The Life Bivy when they first came out, they were 99 cents. so, I purchased 100 of them lol. I use them a lot for winter camping with a sleeping bag. you can make a tent out of one with a rope and a 4 point hold. Keep the videos coming stay well Lou from Delaware.

I uses that camp stove for heat in a hunting shack. We put It on a cookie sheet so ash would fall on metal and we put a piece of tin on top with a pot of water worked great

The necklace thing would work (barely...) but first you have to scrape the black coating off in order to get enough and big enough sparks. suggestion: replace that tiny ferro rod with a slightly longer one. keep the striker. that way you can keep it as a necklace.

Stove: add a small fire safety mat a few inches larger than the base of stove. cut one off a 5 dollar fire blanket or buy a ready made one.

Add grill lava rocks, lowes has em the grilling section. They hold heat for much longer.

Emergency Tarp, lined with "mylar" is way more durable. If needed you "ducktape " the seems closed. I have used the bivy bag and bivy tent, not very good, like you said- basically single use.

Great video! That dinky ferro rod isn't appealing at all, ha ha...I've never used one, but I'd make sure I had one that would strike a much bigger spark. I really liked the knot suggestions; I'll have to refer to this video when I need to use them on a tarp set up. Thanks LFG!

Use that big burlap and stuff with leaves for a mattress, keep your core off the ground

I just watched the episode about tips about butchering. You should save the tendons, and silverskin to make sinew glue.

I do love these challenges.
Especially the ones on a budget.
I think it's important to be resourceful with whatever you can find.
You don't always have your survival gear with you or you could lose it? 🤷
Improvising is key 😜👍
(Not that my survival gear is from Temu though) 😜

The rope needs to be feathered at the end like the picture in instructions showed, even then it’s still takes a lot of practice to get good at using one! Side note u may need to soak in camp gas or lantern oil and then let it dry back out some. Then keep in a zip lock bag to keep from getting water on it also keeps the smell in the bag! I’m thinking they can’t ship it overseas covered in accelerant!
