One of the biggest life lessons I ever experienced was this 😢 and it has literally taken me years to break down the wall I put up after that relationship and am still trying to break down the wall with therapy and healing. It’s so hard to truly let yourself fall in love when you feel so stupid and humiliated from letting yourself be with someone that never loved you or even liked you.

.. my husband actually said that to me ... ‘ I didn’t marry you because I loved you, I married you because of the way you loved me’ ... he also added ‘no one could love you’ .... he was a narcissist.. and he won, 32 years later I still won’t go near a relationship.. protect the heart at all costs ... even if your alone ... no one will hurt me like that again ...
I do applaud those who are able to overcome and find love again, I have a friend who did, she’s amazing and the love she found is true..
