What’s really interesting to me is Star dream’s countdown. If it reaches 0, Star dream attempts to fulfill Haltmann’s wish to bring Susie back. Instead, Star dream has a fatal error and the countdown restarts, as Susie is already in her home dimension. This implies Star dream and Nova can’t fulfill wishes that have already come true, even if the wisher doesn’t realize it yet.

Rpgmonger gave my favourite description of Star Dream.

"The godlike supercomputer given the soul of a broken man."

How it started: Juno Songs, "Beam Attack"

How it's going:

"Why did I reactivate such a terrible machine? Oh, I remember--I wanted to see her just one last time. How foolish! I should have known that no machine could make such a dream come true."

-Max Profitt Haltmann

Planet Robobot gives me chills. I always think of the phrase:

"Why did I activate such a *terrible machine?"*

Haltmann's last thoughts before his soul was erased...

I'm in love with the repetition of "Beneath moon and stars lies..." given how similar Haltmann and Sectonia are as characters. Also, Deus Est Machina was a brilliant twist on the phrase, no notes

Despite being in intense cyber-purgatory, Haltmann sings good.

Never in my life did I ever expect an all-consuming terror of the universe to wear a :3 face.

Fun fact, the meowing roar Star Dream lets out when the third phase begins was provided by director Shinya Kumazaki's cat.

A thing that i really like is that instead of "Deus ex machina" (god from the machine) the stardream is saying "Deus EST machina" (god IS the machine). This song really gives me goosebumps at some points

I adore the little bits wordplay.
"EXECUTING HALTMANN'S DREAM. EXECUTE HIS LEGACY."
Seems like it's just saying "Fulfilling his dreams", but the echoes of his actual thoughts make it clear Star Dream is KILLING his dreams by intermeshing and replacing them with its own. It controls his legacy because it's always been controlling the information in its systems, including the information in his brain whenever he used it.

Love the "Here beneath moon and stars lies" callback with the Kirby's Triumphant Return motif

In case anyone's curious:
"In economics, the Gini coefficient is a measure of statistical dispersion intended to represent the income inequality, the wealth inequality, or the consumption inequality within a nation or a social group.
The Gini coefficient measures the inequality among the values of a frequency distribution, such as levels of income. A Gini coefficient of 0 reflects perfect equality, where all income or wealth values are the same, while a Gini coefficient of 1 (or 100%) reflects maximal inequity among values, a situation where a single individual has all the income while all others have none."

2:23 I love the double meaning in these two lines. "Executing" as in "carrying out" Haltmann's dream and legacy, what Star Dream was designed to do; or as in "killing", what it's effectively doing to Haltmann's soul and to his hopes of ever finding his daughter again.

I just realized that when Star Dream fuses with the Clockwork Star, it looks like the crown of a pocket watch, I can't believe it took so late for me to realize that

Fun fact, when Haltman sings 'pecuniary purgatory ' He's referring to a purgatory consisting of money, making sense for his (honestly quite morbid but honestly pretty normal for a Kirby game) fate

I like the double meaning of "executing" Haltmann's dream and legacy. On the surface it means going through with what Star Dream thinks Haltmann wants, that being the total profitization of the whole universe via erasing organic life and replacing it with machines. Taking the other meaning of execute in mind, Star Dream not only plans on ignoring Haltmann's real desire of bringing back his lost daughter, if it gets away with its plan then Susie will die with the rest of the universe. Ergo, it plans on executing (moving through with) Haltmann's goal of profit as well as executing (killing) Haltmann's real desire of seeing his daughter again.
