I was sweating there for a minute I thought he was going to recommend a different water filter setup. I have the original old style Sawyer that I absolutely love still. I also have his hydrapak which is a very good bag. Be forewarned with the Hydra pack it's hard to get the plug-and-play cap. I'm not sure but you might be able to use katadyn cap. I use a platypus connected to a sawyer squeeze and connected directly to my hydrapak which is now my clean bag. It does all the work while I am setting up camp

TBH, I was expecting this to be some expensive bags, but they are comparable to the price of the CNOC bags. Nice find.

This with a befree works great. I like how fast the hydrapak fills up so quickly, which is lacking in a lot of other products.

Great set up, similar to what I currently use. I do add a Millbank bag, it’s not a necessity but it does cut down the amount of times I need to back flush the Sawyer. A good length of silicone tube and a syringe is also good for collecting hard to reach water. I’ve used the tubing to set up ground filters too, and for drinking from bank filtration seep wells. A couple of emergency purification tablets, for when all else fails even the possibility to boil.

You know I've got to say thank you for the content that you put out. It's no bulshit like so many other sites put out there. You inspired me , I am self-taught off of your video content and a little bit of uncommon sense. I bought your blade 5 years ago. that steel is fantastic. It's sharpens easy and stays Sharp. The handle is comfortable. everything about you sir is pure quality. Thanks again.

Would you be willing to put out a video about financial collapse and bugging out start to finish.? Everything that's in your bag down to small traps trapping rodents in the city, where to find water how to purify it all the rest of it. I want to see your concerns about being in a city and how you would get out of it. I would love to see you show how to use alum and pool shock to purify muddy water. I would also love to see you use a tuna can pushed flush into an ant hill and drop a coal in it and let the ants attack it and be cooked filling the Can in 15 minutes.

I'm surprised you didn't jump on the Gryll bandwagon. Although the Gryll works great for an individual, I need a system that can filter while I'm doing other camp chores for 5 people. Looking into gravity fed systems.

That's my secondary system design and cheaper, but I went with the MSR Basecamp. Same setup but uses the Trailshot as the filter so I can gravity feed or pump directly from the source.
I noticed you're not using the quick connection to fill your bladder in place. Too much pressure to fill that way?

Problem with this setup is that it is a water filer, not purifier.. doesnt take care of viruses, organic compounds, or PFAS..
