The symbolism of Marcus Wright was good, it fixed up the mistakes of Terminator 3's timeline by making it all 1 timeline, because Kyle Reese was taught how to tie the shogun to his arm by Marcus Wright and was in a sense, a father figure to Kyle Reese and saved the scarred John Connor, which means Judgement day was always 2003 not 1997, without Marcus Wright there is no Kyle Reese shotgun trick from Terminator 1 and no John Connor to smash Skynet´s defense grid.

SAOTUBE, no Marcus was a criminal and he wanted to die but instead Skynet programmed him into an infiltration bot. However he still had the mind and heart of a human.
