Xbox Layoffs of 1900 Employees Proves The Games Industry is Hurting

2024 has continued the trend that plagued 2023 in terms of massive layoffs in the gaming industry. This is something that felt neverending last year, with big companies like Bungie, among others, announcing layoffs to major percentages of its workforce. Hundreds of people out of work, and it would appear that the infinite money glitch at Microsoft couldn't save almost 2000 employess from such a fate. What are your thoughts on this whole situation? "hurting" they bought Activsion Blizzard for 89 BILLION dollars. Meanwhile Palwrold sells millions copies on steam at the same time. The only thing that's "hurting" anything is the corp and stockholder greed.

I feel like a lot of these companies are becoming aware of the massive amount of bloat right now and they're just laying off for profitability. Elon fired almost half of the twitter staff and its still chugging along, I thing that was a massive case study and we are seeing the ramifications of that with lay offs like this.
