I've lived in Japan for 5 years. The part you mentioned about Square making it hard to pay them really hit home. Literally every single thing in Japan is difficult to pay for when it comes to bills. Also the mogstation is technically advanced compared to 90% of Japanese websites. They do everything like this, 30 years in the past.

Post Endwalker stuff was AWESOME - if you're a fan of Final Fantasy IV. I can see how people without that nostalgia and who also had to play it in chunks at a time might not have liked it as much.

Also a fun tip for those worried about gear/ilvl going into DT! Once DT goes live the current comedy tomestone gear will cost poetics instead so you can stock up 2k poetics fairly easily for that and save your comedy tomestone because you'll be able to convert them to the new second-tier tomestones and get a head start on lvl100 tomestone armor!

You should be able to buy 660 ilvl gear with tomestones of poetics once early access begins. If you start the expansion with 2000 tomestones, you can get several pieces of 660 gear right off the bat.
