Another grout problem solved, Laticrete PermaColor Select. Buying the correct amount of grout is not the easiest thing in the world, it seems that you have either too much or not enough. You always end up with left over grout, that you save and then never use because the next time you need that same color, never seems to come. Laticrete has solved that problem by separating the powder from the color. You buy a base powder and then add the color to it, any left over powder can be used for the next job and be any color you need, no waste, no left over grout eating up your hard earned $$$$.

I got to say bathroom Renovation is the best way to work, I been doing comercial drywall, painting, ceiling tile, framing buildings wall Suffits etc, and is hard work I go home tired sometimes you 4 to 6 months in a project, and when you finish you end with same money you could make in one month with 2 bathrooms, love you work my friend I believe you inspire when there is no more inspiration in the construction trade

Thanks so much for the vids, I'm now about to grout my 230Sq ft porcelain floor tile kitchen which took me a loooong time to do, but watching all your videos helped massively. (Also needed to fix joists due to issues & add a support for deflection, as well as leveling cement).

I did a job replacing a lot of broken tile in a surpermarket. Existing grout was beige. I dry mixed all the left over sanded white, beige and brown I had and used it on that job. Came out perfect ;)

If I have some grout left (white), can I use it without adding ANY color from a color kit? Is the grout itself gonna be consistent?

Laticrete will make you custom color packets for permacolor select grout to match any Sherwin Williams paint color!

Imo the perma color select is the best on the market for the finished joint . I do it a little differently on the color mix or should I say what the manufacturer recommends, I mix the powder dry with the base first. It's not a good idea to try and save then store a liquid that you'll probably never use.

Sal, I've been going through your other vids and see you putting kerdi board over studs with thinset. If the studs are bowed and not plumb or level, do you fix them first or do you use the thinset to help you plumb and level the kerdi boards?
