It is the most beautiful "adagietto" ever written, so much that it has captivated so many conductors including Bernstein, Karajan, and all current conductors to interpret Mahler's 5th symphony, so much this movement has captivated now more than ever than even the multimillionaire and publisher Gilbert Kaplan, contract the best musicians and conductors of his epoch, just to conduct Mahler's 2nd symphony, and this "adagietto" in particular. To think that so much emotion is contained only in a string ensemble and only in 5 pages of the all symphony
If you close your eyes you can even feel a" levitation" and one can go to infinity.

I've been to the concertgebouw on the 22nd December 2022 and enjoyed Mahlers 5th. Amazing performance that was.

RCO is my favorite Orchestra, the richness and ambiance are so wonderful. I only listen to the older renditions, but I'm mightily impressed by this performance. Thank you!

This is absolutely gorgeous! Love the slow tempo. Mariss Jansons version with the RCO is a bit too fast for my liking but this is perfect!
