It’s crazy how these along with boomslangs have perhaps the most hemotoxic venoms among all snakes, and they’re rear fanged colubrids!

As usual, your videos are very informative and done very professionally. I am slightly concerned by the amount of the snake that is dangling from the hook. While the snake is docile, it looks like is certainly enough hanging loose there to reach your hand on the hook. I’m glad that you are so experienced in doing this work.

What differenciates this snake as a colubrid? I did some reading, but just not knowledgeable to tell the difference.
