Had a patient they told me had severe dementia. Was being taken advantage of by extended family. Got her weened off the beer, dealt with her issues of missing her deceased husband, & helped her accept he would want her to keep living! A year or 2 later i ran into her again. She came running from across the room calling my name in greeting!❤ She didn't know me but a few months. Her mind had restored with good care & healthy diet, & she is thriving with a caring extended family member!❤

I remember few years back after my wife died, I was left alone with 3 kids. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got addicted to alcohol. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment changed my life for better. I can proudly say i'm totally clean for 6 years and still counting. Always look to nature for solution to tough problems, Shrooms are phenomenal.

This should be shown in all high schools to warn against the dangers of alcohol.

My husband died in August. Overall he was an alcoholic with cirrhosis but also had wet brain. He refused the meds needed to get rid of the ammonia and barely took the thiamine. Every day after his first hospitalization was a fight. He didn’t drink after that but his brain was gone. He passed away 7 weeks later after his first hospitalization. It’s an absolute horror to live through.

It’s so difficult to watch people I know slowly poisoning themselves by daily alcohol consumption.
You can see their physical and mental decline happening.

Yeah…..describes everything my dad went through. Stomach ulcers, dementia, repeating himself. He drank a drove. It was horrible. He literally drank too much in one night and died. He was not an angry abusive drunk. He was sweet, and mild, and meek

I worked in a group home for people with dementia. We generally referred to it as an Alzheimer's home, but one of the residents was a 42 year old woman with alcohol dementia. From looking at her, you never would have guessed she was three or four decades younger than everyone else. Very sad 😢

My former husband had this. His drinking for decades had harmed him irreparably. And his nutrition was horrible. Sugar, carbs, energy drinks, he ruined his body. I was willing and able to assist in any way he wanted or needed, but he was angry and unwilling to help himself. Once that anger was aimed towards me, I had to get out. He died 3 years later. He was unable and unwilling to take care of himself.
Very sad, and totally preventable.

It's a shame that we've only been taught about liver related diseases with alcohol. After deciding to be alcohol free, I'm learning a lot about the dangerous of alcohol in turn making me very happy about my decision.

This happened to a very good friend of mine who was using alcohol to help cope with a very serious undiagnosed mental illness for probably most of his adult life. It was very low level, and I don't think any of us ever suspected. To all outward appearances, everything was normal with him. Ultimately it didn't end well. It ended in the worst possible way. I miss my friend every single day. Please take this stuff seriously.

The late David Cassidy claimed he had alzheimer's and that he was not drinking. He went to the hospital and recovered his memory because he had no access to alcohol. He had been drinking all along. He passed away from liver failure. He literally drank himself to death. Such a waste.

This is the best teaching on this subject that I have ever heard.

My 90 yr old granddad was in the veterans ward of a Toronto Hospital. He was tucked into bed for the night. A patient with alcohol induced dementia beat him beyond recognition and my granddad died 3 days later. The culprit had a known history of violence. He was not fit to stand trial. Ill never understand why they put a violent man next to my 5'1" tall, 92 pound granddad. He didn’t have a chance against him

This is what my husbands brother has. He got it when he was 60. Can’t work, can’t drive, struggling to walk very good. He can’t be left alone. Didn’t even remember his mothers funeral. It’s very sad.

I love how passionate she is. You can tell she’s working within the gifting she’s been given.
