The Real Reason Why Celebs Can't Stand Neil Patrick Harris

Neil Patrick Harris has been known to play many memorable characters during his long and successful career. Way back in the late 80s and early 90s, he played the titular character on the hit tv show Doogie Howser, M.D.

Today, he is best remembered for playing Barney Stinson in the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother. That being said, Stinson is not the most lovable TV character as he is a serial playboy who only cares for himself on his quest to seduce women.

Although Harris is nothing like his character, he still rubs some people the wrong way. Here is the real reason why some celebs can't stand Neil Patrick Harris.

It baffles me when people defend celebrities they don't even know. I was a fan of him before, then I found out about him having a crush on UNDERAGE nick jonas, being mean to staff, making a very graphic "amy winehouse corpse" cake for halloween just months after she passed away. And then i realized he's not the person i pictured him to be. I have to accept that. Just cause you saw them from your screen and built this idea of them, doesn't mean they match that idea. Some of your favorite celebrities are horrible people in reality. That's not your fault or anything but you have to accept it and point out the problematic parts.

To be fair, Woods' point was not against Harris, and he was correct when he stated that you do not use children for your cause. This IS child abuse.

So I see commenters arguing that the celebrities clashing with Harris aren’t “relevant” as they are not as famous as him. That shouldn’t matter and should not be a factor in seeing if this celebrity is a “jerk” or not. However, still in every single argument I see no reason to believe NPH is at fault. Sure, he’s said some faulty things, but every single time he’s owned up to it and apologized. He defends himself as an actor, he defends his friends for their choice on how raise their child, I see no reason to like NPH any less. I don’t understand why videos like this need to be made as it just spews gossip and rumors to people who don’t deserve it. I guess I’m a hypocrite because I watched the video all the way through, but well, it just makes me love Neil Patrick Harris even more.
