My jeep grand Cherokee limited came with tom tom and it just stays on the loading screen

My navigator is showing I am somewhere else, I thought I needed to buy updates so did and seemed to upload them on my SD card after four hours of trying but there's no change its still showing we are in the wrong location. How can I fix it please can anyone help
