Thanks for recording that heavy rain drive.

The driving of FSD was perfect. You don't go the speed limit in these conditions. Everyone that does, risks their and others lives. FSD has to protect yours and I'm glad it does.

I think we're too used to driving like insane people in very dangerous situations 😂

This is still impressive even if it slowed down a bit. Downloading my "beta button" as I type this...hopefully with more people using it we'll see faster improvements!

"adjacent lane speed keeping" is appropriate, and smart for Tesla to do in these conditions.

I once thought I was a god of driving and I overtook somebody on a residential road while it was raining because they were going under the speed limit. Had to make a turn, so I hit the brakes and they locked up. There was a car stopped at a stop sign on the street I was turning onto and I must have missed them by literally inches. Rain isn't anything to play around with.

The Car knows it better to be safe than sorry . I Agree with the cars dission to slow down .

Why would you ignore the overhead signs? Generally the dynamic signs take priority over static signs. Not having driven in the area I would have assumed the dynamic signs were set to be lower for weather/traffic.

Those variable speed limit signs above are mandatory in the uk and often have cameras in the back of them. Seems odd that anyone should ignore them as a matter of course 😱
The car knows the stopping distance better than us! Those are the conditions when multiple pile-ups do happen from time to time. Your car would not be among them, that’s good, I think.

Adjacent lane speed keeping is amazing 🤩

17:47...there were 3 lights but only 2 lanes. That's what probably confused it. Took the left green as a go ahead and ignored the '3rd lane' red.

Thank you once again 🙏
Looked pretty good in the rain!
That pedestrian behaviour is already excellent, can’t wait to see it get superhuman soon™️ :)

I think having a "self driving car" sign would change the behavior of other drivers in an unrealistic way, causing more problems for everyone and giving the neural network unrealistic data to train on

in heavy rain i'd show down to 50. Too easy to aquaplane

Finally caught up with this video, and not sure if you'll see this comment so late in the day but just wanted to say I think you've nailed this format, your narration and scene selections, bit of music for the 'boring bits' (which we still need to see) are really natural and easy to listen to. So, thanks again.

Have been watching for the last few years, and still one of the best FSD drivers out there. Kia kaha. Can’t wait for FSD to reach New Zealand.

Good to see self-driving in severe weather. Based on what we saw in the video, I think I would have slowed down every bit as much as the car. Perhaps the camera makes it look more intense than it was in-person. I'm not sure.

Also, in my country, you'd never put on your hazard lights while driving along. Hazards are reserved for actual emergencies, like if you're in traffic and your engine dies on you.

Now that I've pressed "The Button" can hardly wait for your videos with 10.1.

Driving 100km/h in heavy rain is flat out crazy. No wonder you have eight million car crashes with 40000 deaths every year...

Such a perfect user-case. This is brilliant. I remember the last time i was driving in similar rain (im not on the beta), my FSD was in lane-keep and my stress level was so low. I love that AP/FSD; changing lanes are so much safer... ahhh.
