1st Drive New BMW Z4 M40i | New Car | 2019

I flew to sunny Spain to drive the brand new BMW Z4, I spent the morning in the base Z4 20i, I then got my hands on this range topping Z4 M40i model.

Many people have moaned that the new Supra being based on the Z4 but if the EU version (which receives the same 340hp version B58 as the Supra) lapped the Nordschliefe quicker than a fixed roof M2 with 30hp more (non Competition), surely it goes to show how far the Z4 has progressed over each generation?

This is a great looking car, although I reckon it looks a million times better in standard Sport trim rather than M Sport. Less fussy and much more elegant.
