Cardistry for Beginners: Shuffles - Riffle Shuffle Tutorial

The riffle shuffle is one of the most well known card moves in the world. Used at the poker table for card fun between friends, this flourish is easily recognised and shows how good you are with cards.

Here's a tip:
press your index finger on the middle of the deck to make it curve better.
you can also bend your thumb to make it easier to release the cards.

It's so satisfying that after a half hour of practice I can do a really slow really bad riffle and I'm being dead serious that feeling of the cards just shuffling together just right is magical in its own way

I like the index finger positioning! Bending the deck with the index fingers stretched out, as opposed to using the knuckles, was way easier for me! I get a way better card release. :)

i used to just shove the deckt in between eachother because i couldn't to the bridge, but now i did it! (i tried it first when i just got out of my cast, still recovering for that was yesterday)

Me: Saw the Armored Catfish reffling through the desert (across sand in search of water)
Me also: Searching for a dance possibly called the reffle shuffle and learn this type of card shuffling is also called Riffle

This is by far the best technique (and tutorial) I've seen until now.

Changing my hand placement according to this video made my shuffles 2-3x more successful than before.

Just one question? Why use paper cards? They're fucked up after only one tutorial. Why no plastic cards? Is there *any* benefit in using paper?
