My father worked in an arena as an electrician. He met many, many stars over the many, many years he worked there. Quo were playing one night and Rick had a problem with his air con. My dad went into his dressing room and sorted out the problem in a few minutes. However, he never left Ricks dressing room for nearly an hour. Rick was chatting to my dad and my dad to him…….about life, family and other things. My dad always says Rick was the kindest and most considerate person he had the fortune of meeting in his line of work.

I plumbed Rickys washing machine in when he lived in West Byfleet. What a great guy, I stayed all afternoon, He showed me around and
even let me play his ten guitars and then he bought the drinks out. He was a lovely man always giving to local charities in and around woking.
He kept a bubble car in his garage, when i asked him why, he said so I don't forget where I came from.Rest in peace mate.

Thankyou so much for remembering our Rick. Quo were a part of my childhood and i even named my first born son Ricky back in '86 after RP. I agree that Rick didn't have as much tv coverage after his passing, but you've done him, and all of us, proud today ❤

I had the honours to meet Status Quo on a few occasions when they hired stages at Pinewood Studios where I work to practise for many of their tours.
Rick had the quickest wit of any men I have ever met, to me a perfect friendly nature.
A true proffessional in every way when it came to his music, he knew the music industry inside out.
Not many groups are capable of keeping up with over 50 years of constant touring, giving so much pleasure to so many different generations.
Rick lived his life to the full, , worked hard, , , played hard.
Would he have wanted anything different?, ,,,
Yes it finally cost him his life.
If Rick was re-born today I don't think he would change a thing.
Thanks for the music mate

Rick Parfitt what a legend, loved Status quo. What beautiful grounds of the crematorium shame he hasn't been interred there, the lake is so lovely. Thank you for showing the blue plaque

Great video as always Paul. I met Rick in a night club in Slough many years ago. A really nice guy, that chatted for a few minutes, and bought me and my mates a drink. I've also met his son on several occasions. He kept his motor home at the same place we kept our daughters horses in Nottingham. Rik junior lives in a very exclusive part of Notts, sharing the road with the likes of Freddie Mercurys mum and sister at one point. I think Rik spends a lot of time racing saloon cars around the country and Europe, hence the pretty impressive motor home. He has a striking resemblance to his dad, and also very friendly.

Thank you for giving a lovely tribute to Rick Parfitt. Met him in a Indian restaurant near me and he was the perfect gentleman. Plus he also had a infectious giggle which made everyone smile. God bless you Rick and once again thank you Paul x

When I was a Veterinary Nurse back in the eighties I met Rick Parfitt when he brought in his latest Samoyed pup, I just said Hello he's sweet, to that he picked the pup up on his hind legs and said just look at this belly I squealed in delight at the fat tummy of the pup. I found him to be a really nice guy and very down to earth and was sad to hear about his passing 😢
