Ryan, I like your presentation style...relaxed and informal, but very informative!
You mentioned C7 as an example to highlight note choice if you were reading a chart. Is this to say that if your chart, or chord notation, does not indicate the chord C7 that the 7th of the scale is not considered as a possible note option in the scale? I hope you understand my question.
