Great video.

Most people haven't a clue about these things, it is very sad. I am 32 years young and from Denmark, and I am probably one out of 1 million who understands why laissez faire capitalism is the only right social system in the world.

Freedom equals self responsibility and nowadays that's not seen as a good thing. The only freedom people want is the freedom to choose from a list of "free" government handouts. Where does the government get the money too pay for all these? "Who cares?"

Perhaps the answer is not to use one or the other, but to consistently use them in conjunction with one another. I think that would be more conducive to helping people shed their misconceptions about capitalism.

I like the idea. Pretty much all non libertarians use the term to refer to corporatism anyway, so we might as well just let go of it and let the 2 terms become synonymous. Plus it was originally a derogatory term invented by Marx. "Free market" and "voluntary exchange" are better descriptions of the system anyway, and don't carry all the baggage.

I think we should continue to use the term capitalism, when referring to separation of economics and state. However, I don't think capitalism is an all encompassing term for a complete philosophy, as seen with libertarians and conservatives. That is why I suggest using the term Objective Freedom to refer to the complete philosophy and use capitalism to refer to the free market and concretes, not the metaphysics and epistemology and ethics, which goes beyond the term capitalism.

Capitalism comes from the word "capital", which comes from the latin for "head". It meant "head count" to english herders, which reinvested what they earned from raising their "stock" back into producing more animals. The practice of "capitalism" is that of using resources to create more resources for the purpose of creating more resources. It creates an upward spiral of wealth, and if you include your own cost of living in the ledger you can ride it all the up.

Hej Jazzper79. Der er flere end du regner med ;) Mener du at Laissez faire capitalism er det samme som Anarcho capitalism? I det tilfælde er vi enige i meget høj grad :)
