Inside the Volvo EX30

Volvo's EX30 is its newest electric car its smallest and most affordable. How does it stand up to its rivals?

I was certain I was going to trade in my current EV for this car… until I test drove it this past weekend. The exterior is stunning. However the quality inside is terrible. I have kids and there are no cupholders or armrest in the back. Nor are there aircon vents for them. I was also very annoyed by the fact that I can only open the boot by pressing the button. I have to put down whatever I’m carrying and open it. Can’t use the key or gesture to open. I live in a very hot climate, and with the ultra I’m forced to take a sunroof / glass roof and this doesn’t come with a sunshade. Very bizarre, and it’s evident that a lot of cost was slashed from the car . The price isn’t justified. Very sad for me as I loved the idea and the look of it. Now I’m looking at the Mercedes EQA or the BMW ix3.

And when you try to drop the rear windows you have to use the front buttons but transfer button to back 😮

i wish some of the features were made into phycial buttons (but actually the speedometer i feel like you could get used to)
