A jawbone discovered on a Sydney beach and dating back to the early 11th century has been matched to a skull which washed up on the same beach six years ago. The skull of the young child, which is not believed to be aboriginal, was found on Mona Vale beach, in 2008, with the matching jawbone washing up last month, before being passed on to forensic experts. Now the hunt is on to find out the mystery person was, though the prevailing thought is that it belonged to a private collection, and had gone missing from an early ship.
