Only one key can be registered as the driver, the 2nd one will be the guest condition. The My BMW App only can follow the registered one to indicate the driving record information in it. If you use the guest key, it will be no driving record in the App.

I tried following your instructions for a second driver, but when I scan QR code I get a message saying only one account per car. This was using the second key to unlock the car.

Constant issues with my BMW since 2 weeks out of the showroom with numerous visits to the workshops throughout the entire warranty period, & still none were ever fully resolved 6 years later - profiles is just one of the minor issues, set up & working perfectly then suddenly stops working - fixes done twice before at BMW however the problem returns. 
Still showing the profiles in the car but no response to the assigned keys when unlocking, nor can I change to different profile when attempting to do it manually by selecting a different profile in the car (this used to work).
Would love to see a video that actually shows how to resolve profile issues ....

QR codes, driver profiles, log ins, apps; why does this stuff HAVE to be so fucking complicated and difficult? All I want is two keys that, when used, change the seat position to suit each of the drivers.

Doesn't work. The QR code takes you through various gobggledegook questions only to conclude with a message on the screen something like Hello [name of the first driver]! Why oh why need there be all this nonsensical time wasting gimmickry??
