There appears to be confusion between Marie Thérèse, the daughter of Marie Antoinette, and Maria Theresa, the mother of Marie Antoinette (whose original name was Maria Antonia in German). Maria Theresa was the empress of the Habsburg empire, and died in Vienna in 1780. Marie Antoinette was her youngest daughter. Marie Antoinette’s oldest daughter Marie Thérèse, named after her grandmother, is irrelevant to the question posed in the paper. The answer in the paper is correct. It appears to me that the relation “A is mother of B” and therefore “B is daughter of A” may be causing the LLM problems here. This has been observed for similar familial relationships.
